Time flies! I had a wonderful time during the class. I have learnt new things in this module. Ranging from 7Cs to oral presentations. The feedback from Ms Goh and classmates are valuable as they help me identify my weak areas. These honest and constructive criticisms are hard to come by.
The small classroom makes learning effective and conducive. Students get to interact with each other more often and the lecturer can understand the students better. Although the many assignments were taxing, they helped us apply the skills that we learnt while fresh. The research project was also interesting as I had never did a proposal before. On top of it, being the leader of a group with three females was a different experience from commanding a group of males in the army.
With the things learnt in this module, I hope to improve my weak areas such as writing in 7cs, punctuality, initiating questions etc. Last and foremost, I would like to thank Ms Goh for her constructive criticism and my fellow classmates as well. I believe that the skills taught in this module will be useful for our future endeavours.

Dear Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteTime does seem to fly by very quickly doesn't it? I cannot believe the semester is ending. Soon enough we will be off working, beyond the walls of NUS.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to be your group member during the peer teaching. It was very enjoyable and I learned a lot from you. You have a very relaxed disposition which makes you a good presenter as the audience is naturally calm around you. I think that you have improved your presentation skills greatly since the first time you gave that short presentation during one of the first lessons. I hope that you always remain this cheerful and enthusiastic, as it makes you very approachable and communicable.
All the best in all that you do! Take care!
With regards,
Jihan Abdat
Hi Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that indeed this module imposes heavy workload on us though we have gained a lot from it too.
Wishing you success in your future career in the financial sector, be it Bloomberg or elsewhere.
Hope you can always keep your humorous good-natured personality so that you can continue to bring a smile to others.
Regards,
sixiao
Dear Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteA well-written and concise post, you have covered all the relevant points effectively. I agree with you that the constructive criticism we got from Ms Goh and our peers in this module was most valuable and in spite of the numerous thought-provoking and relevant assignments, it was an extremely useful module.
I also wanted to say thank you for your constructive comments on my blog posts. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts which provided a different perspective. You have made a lot of improvement from your first post as well.
Remain the joyful, light-hearted person that you are! Wish all the best in all your future endeavours!
Regards,
Prameet
Dear Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late afternoon post, I was unable to fix my modem till now.
Thank you for your comment on my blog, I do receive comments that I look more like a business student at times. (haha).
I am glad you have learned much from this course just like I have, yes and I agree we both must learn to be more punctual. You have improved tremendously in presentation, but for writing wise, I guess we both must work hard to follow the 7Cs principle ya? Like my major problem with being concise.
Take care Kenneth! I wish you all the best for your studies and I know mathematics is no joke. Just remember to take break when you have to!
Regards,
Shu Yan
Hi Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteI wrote this as a summary to my final post, hope to share the important part of it with you!
"Dear classmates and Ms. Goh,
To: Jihan, YingHui, Prameet, SiXiao and Kenneth
Thank you for your kind comments to my final post. Also, I was very touched by what Prameet said, "I am glad to have such a positive image in your mind, Prameet" :)Yes, we do have many things in common and the positive traits you have associated with me, I similarly can find them in you.
Reading the comments brought back memories of the very first lesson, I still remember there was once (not sure if it was the first lesson) I was sitting in front of Jihan and she gave a very warm and kind smile which really made my day "Thank you Jihan :)". And as for YingHui and Kenneth, I don't know why but I am always happy to see both of them. Especially Kenneth always appear cheerful to me:)."
Take care!
