Final Post

Time flies! I had a wonderful time during the class. I have learnt new things in this module. Ranging from 7Cs to oral presentations. The feedback from Ms Goh and classmates are valuable as they help me identify my weak areas. These honest and constructive criticisms are hard to come by.

The small classroom makes learning effective and conducive. Students get to interact with each other more often and the lecturer can understand the students better. Although the many assignments were taxing, they helped us apply the skills that we learnt while fresh. The research project was also interesting as I had never did a proposal before. On top of it, being the leader of a group with three females was a different experience from commanding a group of males in the army.

With the things learnt in this module, I hope to improve my weak areas such as writing in 7cs, punctuality, initiating questions etc. Last and foremost, I would like to thank Ms Goh for her constructive criticism and my fellow classmates as well. I believe that the skills taught in this module will be useful for our future endeavours.

Oral Presentation

It was an experience during ES2007S presentations. Other presentations I had gave for other modules were not as "scary" as this. It might be because most of the presentations were only giving out information while this presentation aims to promote something.

For my part, I was rather nervous at the start. It was because that since I was the first speaker, I had to set the tone for the presentation. On top of it, my group was presenting last. The concentration span of the audience must had waned after the second presentation. Hence, there was some pressure to wake the audience up and keep their attention. Overall, I felt that I did fine. I managed to speak more fluently as compared to the first and maintained most of the strengths.

Although the presentation was not as persuausive as it should be, I felt that the group did well overall. The most overwhelming part was the Q&A session. Due to time constraints, we could not answer all the questions. On top of it, there were some questions that were not answered thoroughly. It was a pity as I felt if we had practiced more on Q&A, there might not be so much jittery.

Finally, I would like to extend my thanks to my Team members who cooperated throughout the whole preparation and to everyone which helped me improved. Thank You!
